As much as I love Black & Mild Cigars, I’ve decided not to rank the 10 best-selling flavors based on my opinion, although I’ll still throw in my two cents here and there. Instead of opinionated rankings, I’m going to use the data we’ve collected over the last six months of sales, from January to June 2026. During that time, Bluegrass Tobacco generated $304, 876.79 in sales revenue from Black & Mild Cigars alone. We would love for those numbers to be higher, but they still give us enough data to create a clear picture of the best-selling Black & Mild flavors.
In addition to reading the numbers, we also compared the same time period last year to this year, and it’s the same story, only we saw a 37% increase in sales, but the flavor rankings are the same, which first reveals that this is a very stable cigar brand. Unlike other machine-made cigar and cigarillo companies, Black & Mild doesn’t have to release new flavors every month to stay relevant in a forever-changing market; they offer 9 classic flavors that you can always count on being able to find, whether offline or on here at Bluegrass Tobacco.
However, the difference between Black & Mild and other machine-made cigar brands is pretty straightforward if we’re to keep it real, which is how we roll here. The truth is, most popular machine-made cigars, such as Backwoods, are usually sliced down the middle and gutted, leaving only the leaf or wrapper for something else. However, that’s not the case with Black & Mild cigars, as consumers smoke these as they come. That said, they’re a much more stable brand than other machine-made cigars, and here are the best B&M flavors, ranked.

1. Original
Generating $182,926.07 during the first 6 months of the year, Original Black & Mild cigars are, by far, the best-selling flavor, representing 60% of all sales revenue. As a smoker myself, Original is the only flavor I smoke. I’ve tried all flavors below, including a few discontinued flavors, such as Summer Blend and Dark Blend, but every time I come back to the Original Black & Mild flavor, and apparently, I’m not the only one, and these numbers prove it.

2. Cream
Regardless of my opinion, Cream Black & Mild cigars ranked 2nd, securing $24,390.14 in sales revenue from January to June 2026. Honestly, I didn’t expect this flavor to secure 8% of the sales, but looking at the data from January 2025 until June 2026, Cream hasn’t once fallen below 2nd place, which, in our opinion, means that this is the second-best B&M flavor on the market today, just as it was yesterday, last month, and a year ago!

3. Jazz
If I didn’t have the numbers and had to guess, I would’ve ranked Jazz as the 2nd best-selling flavor, but after doing the math, this Black & Mild flavor comes in 3rd, falling just slightly behind Cream with 7% of the total sales revenue, securing $21,341.38 in the first 6 months of 2026. Now that I’m looking at these numbers, all it would take is for just one small business or smoker to come along, and Jazz could easily overtake Cream. Who knows, maybe that person is you!

4. Wine
Next up in 4th place, we have Wine Black & Mild Cigars. This flavor isn’t bad, but if we were ranking them by personal preference, it would come in last place. However, since we’re sticking to the facts, this B&M flavor has earned its position by securing 6.5% market share and generating $19,817.00 in sales revenue. To be honest, I knew these would rank much higher than I thought, since we sell a lot of them. I do wonder, though, who in the heck smokes these?

5. Apple
Rounding out the top 5, the next best-selling Black & Mild flavor is Apple. I don’t know how I didn’t realize that these were so popular. However, this flavor generated $17,530.42 in sales revenue from January to June 2026 here at Bluegrass Tobacco. So, if there’s one to learn from that, it’s Apple Black & Mild Cigars, which represents 5.75% of the market share, which is certainly better than the next 4 flavors. Personally, I would’ve ranked these #8. How about you?

6. Casino
As for my second-favorite Black & Mild flavor, but the 6th best-selling at Bluegrass Tobacco, this ranking clearly goes to Casino. Representing 4.5% of the B&M market here in our store, this sweet, creamy flavor generated $13,719.46 is sales revenue for the first half of 2026. Honestly, I’m not sure why these aren’t as popular as they deserve to be, but after comparing this year’s numbers with last year’s, this is where they stand. Where do they rank on your list?

7. Sweets
As with most Black & Mild flavors, Sweets are available in plastic or wood tips; however, this flavor also comes in filtered tips (like a cigarette), and we sell more of those than traditional cigar B&M Sweets. From January to June 2026, this flavor generated $11,432.88, which is about 3.75% of all Black & Mild sales here at Bluegrass Tobacco. On a personal note, I would rank these #3 on my list. I don’t buy them often, but every now and then, I’ll scoop up a pack.

8. Select
Continuing down the rabbit hole, our next ranking goes to Select Black & Mild. This flavor generated only $9,146.30 from January to June 2026, suggesting that few people have tried it or even know about it. I’ve smoked them a few times over the years; they have a good taste, but definitely on the light side. On a personal note, this B&M flavor is extra smooth and mellow tasting, but not quite as satisfying as Original. We’ll let you be the judge.

9. Royale
Way down at the bottom of our list, in last place, is Royale Black & Mild Cigars. As my 4th favorite flavor, I honestly think most people haven’t tried them, which is why they’re in last place, having only generated only $4,573.15 in sales revenue from January to June 2026, which is almost embarrassing for us to report. Nevertheless, this is where it stands, securing 1.5% of Black & Mild sales here at Bluegrass Tobacco. Where would you rank Royale on your list?
