Another limited-edition Backwoods release has arrived at Bluegrass Tobacco, and this time the City Collection is heading to Philadelphia. New Backwoods Philly Broad Street Sweet Cigars are now in stock and sold in 8-pack boxes, with 5 cigars per pack. This new release continues the city-themed series Backwoods has been expanding with flavors inspired by major US cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Broad Street Sweet has a sweet, aromatic flavor that fits right in with the flavored Backwoods lineup, while the packaging gives the release its Philadelphia identity. The blue packaging features the Philly name and a Broad Street sign, with \u2018Sweet\u2019 used as part of the flavor name, giving the release a clear Philadelphia theme. Like other Backwoods cigars, the Philly edition uses the natural broadleaf wrapper that gives the brand its familiar rustic appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Backwoods City Collection Keeps Growing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Philly is the latest city to join a collection that has already given Backwoods smokers several limited-edition flavors. Here at Bluegrass Tobacco, we also carry the other City Collection releases, including LA Aromatic, ATL Southern Sweet Tea, HOU The Purple Pack, CHI Sweet Summertime, and DET Caddy Cream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s what makes this collection different from simply releasing another new Backwoods flavor. Each one has its own city identity, name, and package design, giving smokers something new to try while still preserving the natural-leaf cigar Backwoods is known for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For us, the limited-edition side of the collection adds to the appeal. Backwoods releases new flavors fairly often, but the City Collection cigars are not permanent additions to the regular lineup. Broad Street Sweet is being sold as a limited release, just like several City Collection cigars before it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Philadelphia now added to the lineup, the bigger question is where Backwoods Cigars<\/a> will go next. Plenty of cities could still join the collection, and judging by how many regional flavors the company has already tried, it has just as many directions it could take. If you’ve read our Bluegrass Tobacco news before, you already know I love my Backwoods cigars! If you’re just discovering our store, welcome. I’m Robert, and I’m the guy who reviews and reports on everything new around here, especially when Backwoods releases a new cigar flavor or style. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of which, I tried the new Philly Broad Street Sweet cigars as soon as they dropped, and I really like them. In fact, among the Backwoods City Collection releases, I would put Philly in second place right now. LA Aromatic is still my favorite, although Broad Street Sweet comes in second, followed by ATL Southern Sweet Tea. Russian Cream is still my favorite Backwoods flavor overall, though. At the same time, like most smokers, I like to switch things up, especially when my favorite cigar brand releases something new for a limited time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s one reason I keep looking forward to these City Collection cigars. Every release gives me another Backwoods to try without replacing the flavors I already know I like. Now that Philly has joined LA, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, and Detroit, I can only think of one thing, what city will be next? If I had to guess, I would say New York, but we\u2019ll see. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
