That said, as soon as Zig Zag released their new signature Woods line last month, in July 2025. Since then, I tried all five original flavors, which has now given me the stripes to rank them how I see fit. In other words, my ranking below is only a reflection of my opinions after smoking each flavor at least once. So, if you’re into slow-burning, hand‑selected natural leaf cigarillos, I recommend reading my review first, then trying each one, and let me know how your rankings stack up against mine.

As for how I smoked and ranked all Zig Zag Woods, it all begins with knowing how I smoke them. Like most people, I don’t smoke them straight from the pack; I split them open, dump the guts, and use the natural leaf to roll my herbs, although I reckon there are a few people who smoke them as is, but they are far and few. I suppose there isn’t much of a difference, as it’s always about the flavor and quality that we’re both after, which is what I consider when trying a new brand, product line, or flavor, such as these new Zig Zag Woods. Speaking of, I tried all five flavors and thought they were all pretty good, but there were a few that really stood out more than others, which you can learn more about below. Let’s roll, shall we?

1. Zig Zag Woods Sweet Aromatic

Sweet Aromatic was the first Zig Zag Woods I lit up, and I instantly knew this would be best; needless to say, I was right. The flavor is smooth with a sweet touch that runs through the whole smoke. The leaf cracks open clean, no veins, rolls easily, and seals up nice and tight, just as a woods should. Plus, they’re slow-burning, smoke evenly, and aren’t known for canoeing. I’ve gone through several already, and each one has been fresh. Out of all 5 flavors, this is the one that sets the tone for the line and the one I’d recommend first if somebody asked me which Zig Zag Woods to try first. Pick up a box below and go all out, you’ll be glad you did.

2. Zig Zag Woods Creme Royale

Creme Royale was close to taking the top spot. The flavor has a creamy edge, which I like, that holds steady all the way through, no drop-off toward the end. Based on my experience, they’re easy to roll, manage, and don’t quickly dry out once the pack is cracked. Burn time is slow, even, and consistent every time I’ve ever lit one up. I’ve smoked enough of these now to know they’re good enough to recommend, and I’ll likely have them again soon! I thought they were similar to Russian Cream, but slightly sweeter and smoother. So, if that’s a flavor you’re into, give these ones a shot. Zig Zag Woods Velvet

Zig Zag Velvet Woods landed right in the middle of my rankings. The flavor is smooth but more laid back than the others, just a touch of sweetness, but not much more. As I can confirm, the leaf was always fresh, rolled easily, and burned slowly, which I appreciate. Every blunt smoked evenly, and none of them gave me problems with canoeing, cracking, or unraveling. I thought they were clean-tasting, and the leaf held up until the very end. I also found these to be slightly creamy, but extra smooth. I bet she would love them! To know for sure, scoop up a box below and bring ‘em home!

4. Zig Zag Woods Silk & Berries

Silk & Berries turned out better than I expected. I usually don’t grab berry wraps since a lot of them taste fake or too sweet, but Zig Zag did this one right. The flavor has a light berry note that blends with the smoke instead of taking it over, and you can actually taste the berry flavor. Every one I rolled up easily, sealed tightly, and burns as slowly and evenly as the others, which says something about the brand. However, I can’t see myself going out of the way to try these again, but if you buy them and pass the blunt to the left, I’ll definitely try them again! To try them for yourself, click below and pick up a box here at Bluegrass Tobacco!

5. Zig Zag Woods Natural

Natural Woods rank last for me, not because I disliked them or anything. I found them to be a little boring-tasting compared to the others, which is understandable and expected. As for flavor, you can expect straight leaf, earthy, no added sweetness, and nothing extra. The leaves roll up clean, seal without a fight, and burn slowly until the end. They reminded me of a lighter version of a Dark Leaf cigarillo. They also didn’t have big veins, so they were super easy to roll up, although I can’t guarantee that for every pack, as I only had these once, so I might’ve just been lucky! If you know, you know!

Where to Buy Zig Zag Woods Cigars

If you’re looking for every Zig Zag Woods flavor in one spot, Bluegrass Tobacco keeps the full lineup in stock.
